The ancient Celts honored the oak tree for as a symbol of wisdom, towering strength, and intimidating size. They might as well have been thinking about Kevin Oak. He's holder of the all-time American record in the squat with a massive 810 pounds at a bodyweight of just 220 using NO supportive equipment at all – not even knee wraps.
If you want an Oakstrong squat, you're in luck: Kevin has put together this 50-day program to help you do just that.
Is this the right program for you?
Great question. This program focuses on the squat, but obviously, one exercise doesn't a program make. You'll find plenty of assistance movements here, in the form of front squats, other leg exercises, and upper back work. That said, If you're looking for a well-rounded routine for size and strength, you'd be better off checking out the Oakstrong Powerbuilding Program, because there is no pressing included here. (Of course, you can always add your own!)
The program requires you to be able to train at least 2, and sometimes 3 days per week, and have access to the typical machines you'll find in most commercial gyms. It also requires that you be willing to train HARD, including occasional max-rep and max-weight sets.
Get the inside scoop.
If you want to know more about how the best of the best train, you're in luck: included in this course is an exclusive introduction with Kevin, where he goes into detail about his background and approach to training used in this program, his thoughts on training the squat, and his plans for the future. It's a great opportunity to learn from a true master of his craft – someone who doesn't just talk the talk, but also walks the walk.
